That’s why we offer companion care, one of our most requested services. Our care assistants provide companionship, becoming trusted friends who keep seniors socially engaged in the comfort of their own homes. They can also accompany them to events, outings, and visits with loved ones. With IGS Health Care, you or your aging family members can enjoy the benefits of a friendly and caring companion to brighten up your days.
Our companionship services are versatile and can provide support across a range of activities, for example:
- At our companion care service, we can support you in many ways. Our care assistants can provide general companionship and engage in meaningful conversations. They can also join you in your favourite hobbies, such as reading, games, or crafts.
- We can help you with daily household tasks, such as cooking and sharing meals, cleaning, and laundry. Our care assistants can also help you with grocery shopping, ensuring that you always have fresh and nutritious food at home.
- If you need assistance with travel arrangements, our care assistants can help you with that too. We can also drive you to your preferred destinations, whether it is to visit friends, go to appointments, or enjoy a day out.
- Our care assistants can also accompany you to appointments, ensuring that you get there and back safely. Additionally, we can plan outings and visits, providing you with a companion to make the experience more enjoyable.

We understand that reliability and trustworthiness are essential when it comes to selecting a care assistant. At our home health care company, we carefully screen and select our caregivers based on their qualifications, experience, and dedication to delivering high-quality care. We also provide ongoing training and supervision to ensure that our caregivers are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to fulfill their responsibilities and exceed our clients' expectations.
Contact IGS Health Care and make an appointment for us to visit you for a chat about how IGS Health Care can work for you. We are happy to visit you at home to discuss ways we can help and then, once you have decided, you simply leave the rest to us!
We will invoice you every two weeks. To make it nice and easy for our customers all payments are collected by Direct Debit.
We will put together a detailed plan for each customer which, as well as setting out the care to be delivered, also shows the weekly costs. Some people will be entitled to assistance with the cost of their care either from their local Social Services office or via other Government grants.
Once we have established exactly what you want on each visit, we will work to that list. We are not able to give injections or change sterile dressings. Also, we cannot carry out tasks which are likely to cause risk to either the person we provide care to or to the IGS Health Care assistant. Tasks will be agreed with you in advance. Any changes to the plan can be discussed with your local IGS Health Care team.
Every member of the IGS Health Care team has been through a rigorous vetting procedure before they start working with us. In addition, all staff will always be in uniform and carry a personalised identification card which shows their name, photograph and signature.
Our offices are normally open from 09.00 AM to 06:00 PM Monday to Friday. Aside from this, we operate an out-of-hours emergency service which is manned from 7am to 10pm. The number for your out of hours service can be provided for your reassurance, with someone at the end of the telephone line to assist with any emergencies about your care.
Our experience tells us that people's care needs very often change. We therefore understand that care may need reviewing from time to time. This is why we carry out reviews on a regular basis and why we are pleased to hear from members of the immediate family about effective methods for delivering the care service for their relative.
We agree a ‘Care Plan’ which details exactly what you have instructed us to do. This then becomes the work list for each day.
This depends on how many care visits you have each week. We very rarely have just one care assistant assigned to a particular customer. This allows for periods of time where your care assistant may be away on holiday, however we do try to keep the number of your care assistants to an absolute minimum.
